AI transparency & EU AI Act
Version: 2 August 2026 · Responsible publisher: StoffwechselFit editorial team.
StoffwechselFit uses artificial intelligence as an editorial support tool. Human beings remain responsible for sources, interpretation, wording, images and publication. This disclosure describes the actual use of AI on this website; it is not a legal certification or conformity assessment.
Where AI can assist
- structuring and drafting text, translations and summaries;
- finding contradictions, missing context and quality issues;
- preparing tables, metadata and accessible alternative-text drafts;
- creating editorial illustrations in the StoffwechselFit visual style.
Human review before publication
Health-related statements are reviewed against the cited sources and the intended article context. AI output is never treated as research. Publication decisions, corrections and the final wording remain human decisions.
What the website does not do
- no automated diagnosis, treatment decision or medication recommendation;
- no AI chatbot giving individual medical advice;
- no automated scoring, profiling or decision based on personal health data;
- no hidden manipulation, emotion recognition or biometric categorisation.
Images and machine-readable marking
AI-assisted editorial illustrations are marked in the page code with data-swf-ai-assisted="true" and are covered by this public disclosure. Images are reviewed for factual plausibility, misleading medical values, brands, watermarks and visual defects. Photographs and original measurements remain identified separately.
Risk and role assessment
Based on the current functions, StoffwechselFit is an information and self-documentation website, not an automated medical decision system. Calculators use disclosed formulas. This assessment must be repeated whenever an interactive AI function, personal-data analysis or automated recommendation is added.
AI Act framework
The EU AI Act is Regulation (EU) 2024/1689. Its Article 50 transparency obligations apply from 2 August 2026. The exact duty depends on the role, the AI system and the type of content, including applicable exceptions and official guidance. StoffwechselFit therefore uses a transparent, risk-based process instead of presenting a blanket “AI Act compliant” badge.
Editorial safeguards
- source register and publication date;
- human approval and correction option;
- separation of personal observation, inference and established research;
- privacy by design and data minimisation;
- periodic review of this disclosure and the visual asset manifest.
