The essentials

Composition and what it means

Myo-inositol

Inositol is the ingredient with the best research in this product – though in a very specific context: polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). PCOS is closely linked to insulin resistance, and studies show that myo-inositol can improve insulin sensitivity and cycle parameters there .

For people without PCOS – and especially for men – the data are considerably thinner . I list this product here because inositol is regularly mentioned in the blood-sugar context and is also contained in the BLUTZUCKER complex. But it is a product for a particular target group, not for me.

Chasteberry

Chasteberry acts via prolactin balance and is used for cycle complaints. There is no link to glucose metabolism .

Risks and interactions

Not suitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Chasteberry can interact with hormonally active medication.

How I test this

No own test planned – the product targets a group I do not belong to. The classification serves completeness.

All of my own measurements are labelled as a single-case observation (n=1) and cannot be transferred to other people.
