A look at the active compounds
Probiotics and blood sugar
The reasoning corresponds to that for NATURTREU Florazauber: the association between microbiome composition and metabolic health is well documented , the causal benefit of supplementation considerably weaker .
On the dosage
20 billion CFU per day from Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium strains is a decent dose by market comparison. What remains decisive is strain specificity: study results for one strain cannot be transferred to others. Anyone buying a probiotic because of a particular study should check whether the studied strain is actually contained.
Gastric resistance
A practical quality factor: how many bacteria survive passage through the stomach? Figures for “CFU at the time of manufacture” say less than figures at the time of consumption.
What speaks against casual use
Bloating possible at first. With immunosuppression or serious underlying illness, clarify medically.
How I would test this
Eight-week observation focusing on mean fasting values and digestion. Short-term CGM peaks are the wrong parameter here.
